Collingwood Children's Farm - Farmer's Market

While most parts of the civilized world have abolished slave labour and the exploitation of children, here in an inner city suburb of Melbourne, you can still buy freshly farmed children. The good news is - they are totally organic.

Farmer's Market

The Choice: Coles, Safeway V Real food ( fresh seasonal vegetables and fruit ) from local Suppliers on a perfect Melbourne spring morning along the banks of the Yarra. It's a no-brainer.

Abbotsford Convent

A short walk from the Collingwood Children's Farm brings you into the grounds of the Abbotsford Convent. It's here that Veronica always reminisces about her former life as a Catholic Nun.

The Yarra at Abbotsford

From the Abbotsford Convent there's a shared pathway along the Yarra River leading to the wonderful 3 Bags Full Cafe and awesome coffee.

Never had a better coffee - anywhere!

Too early for lunch really but why pass up an opportunity to eat at such a great cafe. Melbourne is blessed with wonderful food and coffee but 3 Bags Full remains my favourite.

A typical Melbourne Saturday for us - a visit to the Farmer's Market, lunch and coffee at one of many great cafes, then a short trip out to Northcote to visit Terra Madre to complete our hunting and gathering.
